Challenge Canberra! Challenge 1.9km swim and 90km bike for our Aquabike athletes! The middle distance Aquabike event is also a World Qualifying Event for 2025 Multi Sports World Championships in Pontevendra, Spain.
Canberra is the Capital of Australia and is accessible from every city in Australia and only a three hour drive from Sydney. The airport is only 6km from the city with bundles of accommodation available and riding distance to the event site.
The Challenge Canberra course is one of the most exciting courses in Australia with iconic landmarks and a scenic course that starts in the central basin of Lake Burley Griffin, a swim course that allows for all those supporters to watch every stroke you do from start to finish.
The bike course is a magnificent and challenging closed course that takes you up a Canberra’s main Parkway that connects South and North Canberra which gives athletes nice little climb on each of the 3 laps. As you launch back down the hill you might just have time to enjoy the views of Canberra. Everyone will then have a chance to unleash on fast flat hot mix roads before heading into T2.
From T2 athletes will get the chance to take the tape on the Challenge Canberra finish chute with family and friends cheering them across the line after a 1.9km swim and a 90km bike.
