Challenge Australia becomes the fourth full-distance triathlon on the national calendar, joining an elite roster of events.

The 2025 race will serve as a test run of the 2026 full-distance layout, giving athletes the exclusive first look at what’s ahead.

Swim: Single lap (3.8 km) in Lake Burley Griffin’s central basin—easy viewing for supporters.

Bike: A closed 180 km route along Canberra’s Parkway system, including exciting out‑and‑back Majura Parkway sections. Big speeds, stunning views, and race‑ready roads.

Run: Four laps of a 10.5 km circuit along the lakeside, Commonwealth Park, Nerang Pond, and National Gallery of Australia Sculpture Gardens—finishing at John Dunmore Lang Park with epic views of Old Parliament House.
