Challenge Canberra! Challenge 1.9km swim, 90km bike and 21.1km run! This spectacular race will be held for the first time on 26 November 2023!

Canberra is the Capital of Australia and is accessible from every city in Australia and only a three hour drive from Sydney. The airport is only 6km from the city with bundles of accommodation available and riding distance to the event site.

The Challenge Canberra course is one of the most exciting courses in Australia with iconic landmarks and a scenic course that starts in the central basin of Lake Burley Griffin, a swim course that allows for all those supporters to watch every stroke you do from start to finish.

The bike course is a magnificent and challenging closed course that takes you up a nice little climb into the beautiful National Arboretum, where you might just have time to enjoy the views of Canberra as you work your way through the only technical section of the course. Everyone will then have a chance to unleash on fast flat roads before heading into T2.

From there as you head out onto a three lap 7km run along the Lake Burley Griffin foreshore but before you enjoy this you get to run through the beautiful Commonwealth Park as the run route takes you around the Nerang Pond and out onto the foreshore, across Commonwealth Bridge with views of Australia’s Parliament House right in front of you. The very fast and flat course will see some superfast run splits, with plenty of people cheering you on to the finish line on Rond Terrace.

If you don’t want to take on the challenge alone, there’s no need to worry because the team relay option is available. You and your club mates or friends can participate in the middle distance race together, making for a great morning spent with like-minded people who share your passion for this amazing sport. Whether you choose to form a team of two or three members, you can join in and take part in this iconic race.
