Challenge Canberra is set to captivate audiences on Saturday, November 16, and Sunday, November 17, 2024, promising two thrilling days of racing that now include the exciting addition of the Super Sprint category. Building upon the invaluable feedback garnered from last year’s event, Challenge Canberra is committed to delivering an unparalleled race experience for all participating athletes.
In an exciting development for 2024, Challenge Canberra will host the prestigious World Qualifying Events for both the Olympic (Standard) Triathlon and the Olympic Aquabike Distance competitions. Athletes aspiring to represent their country at the esteemed World Age Group Triathlon Championships in Wollongong, NSW, in 2025 are encouraged to secure their entries promptly.
The highlight of the event remains the Middle Distance race, which promises an electrifying experience with its revamped course. Featuring a faster route that includes three gradual climbs up the Tuggeranong Parkway, participants can anticipate record-breaking performances amidst a backdrop of spectacular scenery. The run leg, designed to awe and inspire, will take athletes through the picturesque Commonwealth Park before crossing the iconic Commonwealth Bridge to reach the serene Lennox Gardens. With ample hydration stations strategically placed along the course, athletes can expect optimal support as they strive for peak performance.
This race is perfect for all our triathlon clubs as there is an event for all. Plus we will see who will take out the Challenge Canberra Tri Club Championships in 2024.
With these exhilarating updates and enhancements, Challenge Canberra 2024 is poised to deliver an unforgettable race weekend filled with excitement, camaraderie, and outstanding athletic achievements.
